Southern California Food Allergy Institute launches private mobile app for 2,000+ patients with DevTeam.Space

The Southern California Food Allergy Institute (SCFAI) needed to design and develop a HIPAA-compliant mobile application to continue serving patients during the pandemic. Their challenge was to create an app that would provide two-way communication on treatment progress, send reminders for food and medication intake, track symptoms, and offer emergency advice, all while integrating with their existing backend systems. They hired DevTeam.Space to build this Tolerance Induction Program mobile app.

DevTeam.Space used React Native and Expo to develop the cross-platform application, collaborating closely with SCFAI on design and technical integration. The resulting app was released for private distribution on iOS and Google Play and has been installed on over 2,000 client devices. Following the successful launch, DevTeam.Space transferred the app code to SCFAI, which now handles all support and updates in-house.
