Case Study: Engie achieves zero-carbon cloud transformation with Devoteam

A Devoteam Case Study

Preview of the Engie Case Study

Progressive zero-carbon transformation through cloud migration

The client, Engie, a global energy company operating in over 70 countries, faced the challenge of modernizing its IT infrastructure to adapt to a competitive market with public cloud providers. Lacking in-house cloud expertise, Engie IT needed a secure, compliant environment on AWS and Azure to support its applications and serve its business units. They sought an end-to-end partner advisor, Devoteam, to help overcome these hurdles and enable their cloud transformation.

Devoteam implemented an automated solution called the BUBBLE, a fully dedicated and secured gateway to the public cloud. This automated environment was designed to be quickly deployed and ready for use by Engie's business units. As a result, Devoteam helped deploy the largest HANA database on AWS in Europe and significantly ramped up Engie's internal cloud capabilities. The partnership provided substantial value, with Devoteam resources constituting 50% of the 40-person team working full-time on the cloud initiative.
