How Collibra added three new automation features to their Data Intelligence Platform through a Gen AI Hackathon

Collibra, a leading data intelligence company, sought to harness the innovative ideas of its entire workforce to develop next-generation AI capabilities for its Data Intelligence Platform. The challenge was to activate all of its employees, regardless of their technical or business role, to contribute to this goal. They partnered with vendor Devoteam to address this.

Devoteam implemented a Generative AI Hackathon, assisting Collibra's cross-functional teams in building solution prototypes using Generative AI on Vertex AI. The event, which took just 48 hours, resulted in 19 nearly production-ready prototypes. The measurable impact was significant: over 100 Collibrians gained AI skills, and three new automation features generated during the hackathon were added to their platform for customers to use.
