Dymo, a label application maker and part of Newell Brands, faced significant shop floor inefficiencies due to manual administrative processes like paperwork, emails, and manual data entry into SAP ERP. They partnered with vendor Devoteam to digitize these information flows and eliminate the wasted full-time equivalents (FTE) of work, aiming to improve efficiency and data quality.

Devoteam implemented a suite of digital portals that connected people, SAP ERP, and machines, automating data collection and eliminating manual tasks. This solution saved significant administrative time, such as reducing a 15-minute process to just 1-2 minutes, and improved the accuracy of key metrics like OEE and productivity. The project also created a more proactive work environment and established a foundation for Dymo's continued smart factory transformation.
