How Quaker Houghton streamlined systems to meet the demands of the industry and connect workers across the globe

Quaker Houghton, a global leader in industrial process fluids, faced fragmented EHS, QMS and ESG systems across hundreds of sites and 17 languages, with many processes still paper-based and data locked in silos. To modernize and standardize its safety, quality and sustainability workflows, Quaker Houghton selected DevonWay’s EHS and Quality Management platform (now part of Ideagen) to replace disparate tools and manual checklists with a single integrated solution.

DevonWay implemented a phased, global rollout of modules including audits & assessments, document management, LMRA and JTRA, incidents, CAPA, complaints and metrics/KPIs, with multilingual mobile access. The single platform consolidated systems and digitized processes—1,620 documents migrated, 113 audits in 2023, ~1,500 inspections/month (a 5–10% increase), 1,121 customer and 105 supplier complaints logged, 211 incidents and 1,767 CAPA records created—helping Quaker Houghton gain real-time visibility, reduce recordable injuries by about seven per year and achieve an estimated $362,000 in annual cost savings.
