Herrick District Library, a public library system serving Holland, Michigan, and hundreds of thousands of annual patrons, struggled with an inefficient remote connection tool that caused slow server connections, poor UX during server boot/shutdown, and limited in-session tools. To address these issues the library adopted Devolutions' Remote Desktop Manager (RDM).

After a quick evaluation the HDL IT team rolled out Devolutions’ RDM and, over roughly six months, reported “blazingly fast” server connections, full-screen support for all console sessions, tabbed access to multiple servers, and stronger security via RDM’s built‑in password generator. Devolutions’ solution increased IT productivity—enabling faster maintenance, easier vendor access, and expanded administrative capabilities for staff.
