Case Study: CenturyLink achieves centralized connection management and major time savings with Devolutions' Remote Desktop Manager

A Devolutions Case Study

Preview of the CenturyLink Case Study

Centurylink Cloud chose RDM to have their RDP, SSH and SQL connections all in one application

CenturyLink Cloud, the Bellevue-based cloud platform division that employs more than 500 people and manages over 200 servers, faced an exponential growth in remote connections after deploying a third datacenter. Previously acceptable tools no longer met their needs for password management, grouping RDP configurations, tiled screen monitoring and quickly finding the correct server connections, so they adopted Devolutions’ Remote Desktop Manager (RDM) to centralize and simplify access.

Devolutions’ Remote Desktop Manager gave CenturyLink a centralized password vault, logical grouping and tree views, a Tiled view for monitoring multiple RDP/SSH/SQL/vSphere sessions, and easy copy-and-tweak connection templates. Used daily for about three years, RDM reduced the time required to create and maintain connection definitions, lets a single password change propagate across connections, and sped up provisioning and troubleshooting—delivering measurable time savings and much-improved connection management for CenturyLink.
