A DeviceLock Case Study

STAHLS - Customer Case Study

STAHLS, the multinational materials company based in Waalwijk, needed to better protect its intellectual property and confidential business data as more employees worked from home and used laptops and USB sticks. The company saw growing internal security risk from removable media and wanted a solution that would reduce the chance of sensitive data leaving the organization unintentionally or deliberately. DeviceLock was chosen to help address this challenge.

DeviceLock implemented USB and removable media controls across roughly 1,000 PCs and laptops, integrated with Active Directory and STAHLS’ group-based authorization workflow. This allowed access to be granted only with multi-level approval and helped enforce who could read or write to removable devices. According to STAHLS, DeviceLock both made data theft more difficult and increased employee awareness of security, supporting a more “integral” security approach across the company.
