Silver Legacy Resort Casino in Reno, Nevada, needed a stronger way to protect sensitive data across its casino operations while meeting strict gaming and privacy compliance requirements. The customer had already been using DeviceLock for port and device security and wanted a more comprehensive DLP approach that could handle both endpoint and network-related leakage risks.

DeviceLock provided the first layer of Silver Legacy’s layered DLP strategy, using fine-grained controls, auditing, and shadowing for USB devices, CD-ROM drives, WiFi ports, PDA synchronization, and printer output, all tightly integrated with Active Directory Group Policy. Silver Legacy then planned to add a separate content-filtering DLP solution on top of DeviceLock for broader monitoring, helping reduce data-loss channels, false positives, and manual remediation while improving overall defense in depth.
