Oaklee Housing Association - Customer Case Study

Oaklee Housing Association, a Northern Ireland housing provider with more than 140 users across 65 satellite offices, needed to better protect highly sensitive tenant and business information across its network. Although it had not suffered a data breach, rising concerns around data theft and leakage, along with regulatory requirements, prompted Oaklee to look for a stronger security approach. DeviceLock DLP was selected as a cost-effective and easy-to-implement solution.

DeviceLock helped Oaklee control, log, shadow-copy, and audit access to ports, peripherals, and removable media, while also enforcing file-type-based policies and integrating with encryption tools. The solution gave Oaklee the management access and policy control it needed to reduce the risk of accidental or malicious data leakage and improve compliance with security standards. While the case study does not cite a quantified performance metric, Oaklee reported that DeviceLock provided the right balance of functionality and cost.
