Norwich & Peterborough Building Society - Customer Case Study

Norwich & Peterborough Building Society (N&P), a large UK building society with more than 1,000 employees, needed a way to protect its Windows 2000 Active Directory and Windows XP desktops from viruses, worms, Trojans, and internal security risks introduced through USB, FireWire, and other plug-and-play devices. As part of its security review, N&P selected DeviceLock DLP from DeviceLock to secure endpoints and reduce the risk of data leakage and malware infection.

DeviceLock implemented device and port control across N&P’s head office, branches, and servers, using Microsoft SMS for remote deployment and with plans to expand via Active Directory. The result was tighter control over unauthorized device access, fewer helpdesk calls related to USB plug-ins, and improved protection against unknown devices and malware; N&P also reported that DeviceLock was cost-effective, easy to administer, and straightforward to upgrade.
