Ignis Asset Management, a privately owned investment management firm with offices in Glasgow and London, needed to strengthen endpoint security and comply with increasingly strict FSA data security requirements. With widespread use of USB devices and smartphones among employees, the company wanted better control over removable media, improved auditing, and a solution that would be straightforward to manage at a competitive cost. DeviceLock endpoint security was selected to help address these challenges.

DeviceLock was rolled out to 500 employees to enforce security policies, audit activity on end-user ports and devices, log and shadow-copy data transfers, and maintain an approved list of USB devices. According to Ignis, DeviceLock made compliance easier, reduced the burden of managing removable device usage, and allowed the company to move from a blanket USB ban to a more flexible policy without compromising security. DeviceLock also helped save time for IT staff by requiring minimal supervision.
