Christ's Hospital - Customer Case Study

Christ’s Hospital, an independent boarding school for up to 850 boarders, needed better control over security risks caused by pupils connecting personal consumer devices that appeared as USB file stores. The school wanted to prevent unauthorized programs, photos, and music from being introduced to the network without resorting to fully disabling USB access.

DeviceLock DLP provided the solution for Christ’s Hospital, giving the IT team flexible USB device control that could allow approved devices while blocking others, including support for generic devices such as scientific data loggers. Deployed through the system image and managed via Active Directory Group Policies, DeviceLock helped bring order to an environment where more than 850 users could previously store large files on the network, reducing security and storage issues without the need to disable USB entirely.
