A DeviceLock Case Study
Cambridge Building Society, a UK mutual financial institution with 200 employees across 23 offices and branches, needed to strengthen security and prevent unauthorized use of external devices on its Windows 2003 and Windows 2000 network. Working with DeviceLock, the society looked for a solution that could integrate with Active Directory and control drives capable of importing or exporting data.
DeviceLock DLP was selected after testing against several competitors and is being deployed across the network to control USB devices and other removable media. The solution gave Cambridge Building Society the flexibility to allow approved USB peripherals, such as keyboards and mice, while blocking risky devices, and the IT team cited DeviceLock as the most effective and best value-for-money option, meeting both internal and external audit requirements.
