The Bureau for Food and Agricultural Policy (BFAP), together with subsidiary Integrated Value Information System (IVIS), needed a more flexible surveying solution to support growing farm data projects linking environmental variables to crop yields—their existing app lacked customization, workflows, calculations and offline capability. They selected Device Magic’s mobile form builder and data-collection app to meet those requirements.

Device Magic provided customizable mobile forms, offline functionality and immediate reporting so BFAP/IVIS could deploy surveys for soybean and canola programs, embed yield‑loss calculations, and train and equip 15 field agents. The solution built a centralized database and delivered real‑time kg-per-hectare and financial loss feedback to farmers—enabling corrective action during harvest, boosting participation, and allowing farmers to begin using the app themselves.
