The innovation lab at a large US brokerage company sought to capitalize on growing retail investor interest in private equity by building an aggregated marketplace. Their challenge was to validate this "marketplace of marketplaces" concept, which required a software vendor, Devexperts, capable of building a scalable prototype to test product-market fit with evolving requirements.

Devexperts developed the solution through an iterative process, first creating a prototype and then a full-fledged portal with a mobile version. Their work included building a system to aggregate data from multiple crowdfunding platforms into a database, a back-office admin application for data processing, and unique features like a comparison tool. The successfully launched Devexperts platform now aggregates investment opportunities, provides comprehensive filtering, and offers tiered subscription plans, having already integrated with five crowdfunding websites at the time of writing.
