CEX.IO, a popular multi-functional cryptocurrency exchange, sought to introduce margin trading to maintain its leadership in the FinTech space and exploit new revenue streams. They required a complex, multi-component solution that included back-end systems, an admin interface, and trading terminals for web and mobile. To save time and resources, they partnered with the software vendor Devexperts to customize an existing platform rather than building from scratch.

Devexperts implemented a solution by adapting its flagship DXtrade Enterprise platform to the specifics of cryptocurrency trading. The vendor integrated their backend with CEX.IO’s environment for order execution and provided web and mobile trading terminals for end-users. As a result, CEX.IO launched a scalable margin trading platform capable of supporting over 10,000 users in real-time, initially offering leveraged trading on five cryptocurrency pairs.
