The client, a large financial services group, sought to engage younger traders and generate leads by testing two key hypotheses: that free trading signals delivered via Telegram could convert users to a premium service, and that messenger-based onboarding could compete with traditional channels. They engaged Devexperts for its expertise in broker software development and its existing Devexa trading assistant product to build a proof-of-concept chatbot integrated with their emerging APIs.

Devexperts implemented a Telegram chatbot that provided users access to a marketplace of trading signals, allowing them to view, filter, and subscribe to premium ideas. For onboarding, voice assistant capabilities were explored but ultimately deemed subpar due to stringent KYC regulations. The successful two-month pilot project was published on Telegram and Yandex Alice, enabling the broker to effectively attract a new generation of traders and convert them into paying customers.
