GreenKayak registers 66,000+ volunteers with Developyn

GreenKayak, an environmental organization in Denmark, faced operational challenges as it grew internationally. Its manual booking system was fragmented and clunky, creating a significant administrative burden and offering a poor user experience. They needed a scalable digital solution to manage kayak reservations across multiple locations and to engage their highly motivated volunteer base through gamification. They partnered with Developyn to design and implement a new digital ecosystem.

Developyn created a centralized web dashboard for administrators and a cross-platform mobile app for users, built with SvelteKit and SvelteNative. The solution streamlined the booking process and integrated gamification features like leaderboards and badges to reward volunteers for collecting waste. As a result of Developyn's work, GreenKayak registered over 66,000 new volunteers through the app and collected over 104 tonnes of ocean waste, significantly increasing engagement and operational efficiency.
