Karmaloop, a mobile-first retailer and lifestyle brand, needed to boost sales but had no developer resources or access to app code. Working with Taplytics, their team hypothesized that the in-app “Wish List” was delaying purchases and wanted a way to validate that assumption quickly and without engineering work.
Using Taplytics’ visual A/B testing, Karmaloop ran a multivariate experiment that made the “Wish List” button transparent; the transparent variation won. The change drove a 35% increase in sales in one week, a 12% lift in products added to the shopping bag, and saved thousands of dollars in developer time—prompting Karmaloop to continually test and challenge product assumptions.
