Krones AG, a global manufacturer of filling and packaging systems with approximately 18,500 employees, faced the challenge of effectively organizing its hybrid workforce. With the shift to 50% remote work, the company needed to reduce its physical office footprint while fostering collaboration for the teams present on-site. They sought a solution to manage this new way of working and partnered with vendor desk.ly to implement a desk sharing strategy.

Using the desk.ly workplace management software, Krones replaced fixed workstations with shared desks and redesigned its offices into collaborative hubs. The solution included a successful pilot program within its Information Management department, which was then rolled out company-wide. desk.ly enabled employees to book workspaces in advance and provided managers with crucial usage data. As a result, Krones significantly freed up office space and successfully created a flexible, modern work environment optimized for hybrid collaboration.
