AGAPLESION gAG, a large healthcare group with more than 100 institutions across Germany, needed a better way to keep its IT systems and software licenses compliant across a highly heterogeneous environment. With thousands of Windows-based systems, medical scanners, multifunction devices, and network components spread across locations with limited bandwidth, the organization needed a unified view of what was deployed where and which assets required licensing. It chose Deskcenter Management Suite to support software and hardware asset management, reporting, and lifecycle management.

Deskcenter implemented Deskcenter Management Suite with local database deployment at sites to handle low-bandwidth branches, plus scripted imports for systems outside Active Directory and financial data integration. The result was a complete picture of the AGAPLESION IT infrastructure, faster access to relevant asset information, a smoother software procurement process, and significantly simpler IT planning and administration. The solution also supported Microsoft SAM certification and helped AGAPLESION maintain compliance more efficiently, with around 14,000 systems and 2,200 components under management.
