Henry Ford Community College (HFCC) faced slow, unreliable notifications using e‑mail and SMS—students and instructors often turn off cell phones in class and email relies on recipients opening their client—so HFCC selected DeskAlerts' computer‑based notification system to solve the campus communication gap.
DeskAlerts was deployed as a mandatory application to every employee workstation and student computer, enabling HFCC to broadcast alerts to nearly 2,000 or any subset of machines within minutes. The college deployed over 500 administrative PCs in a morning and rolled out student computers over a school break; desktop pop‑up alerts proved impossible to ignore, delivering faster, broader reach while meeting HFCC’s requirements for cost, features and ease of deployment with DeskAlerts.
