A DeskAlerts Case Study
CHU Saint‑Pierre, a university hospital in Brussels serving about 2,000 staff, needed a fast, reliable way to deliver important information daily and during crises, with a backup that would keep working when email and phone systems failed. The hospital selected the DeskAlerts system to provide that secondary channel.
DeskAlerts was implemented internally by the hospital IT team and used during the March 22, 2016 terror attacks to reduce internal call volume, target vital notifications to specific teams, and instruct staff to switch to SMS when external phone networks went down. As a result, DeskAlerts provided a dependable communications channel that allowed management to coordinate responses quickly, keep staff informed in real time, and handle the emergency without affecting patient care.
