Sumosan becomes a Dubai hotspot with DesignLSM’s restaurant interior design

DesignLSM was appointed by Sumosan, a premium Japanese restaurant, to evolve its interior design concept for a new location in Dubai. The challenge was to develop a global design narrative that would create an immersive dining experience for both locals and visitors, building upon the successful blueprint DesignLSM had previously created for the brand's first site in Doha.

The solution implemented by DesignLSM combined natural materials with refined, stylized craftsmanship to create an elegant and engaging space. Key features included a striking brass sculpture framing the bar, dark timber panels inspired by Japanese screening, and an immersive ceiling mural. The result was a vibrant dining experience that made Sumosan one of Dubai's latest celebrity hotspots, successfully extending the brand's sophisticated and contemporary style to its new location.
