Galvin Restaurants creates a 90-cover Great British Pub with DesignLSM

The customer, Galvin Restaurants, engaged vendor DesignLSM for a full architectural design renovation. Their challenge was to transform the 700-year-old Greenman pub in Chelmsford into a modern 'Great British Pub' while restoring the listed building to its former splendor and adding significant new facilities.

DesignLSM undertook a sensitive restoration and designed a vast new 300m2 extension wing. The solution included a sophisticated new dining room and a modern kitchen housed in a central hub. The project was a success, resulting in the pub being named the 'Best Pub in the East of England' at the National Pub & Bar Awards 2017.
