Descartes Labs implemented an advanced monitoring system using satellite imagery to create highly accurate forest and palm maps for a cloud-prone region in Southeast Asia. The solution provided Unilever with near-real-time deforestation alerts and critical metadata, enabling informed and rapid response. The results were exceptional, with the forest map achieving 97% accuracy and the palm map achieving 94% accuracy, greatly exceeding Unilever's requirements.
