Standard AI, a provider of AI-powered computer vision technology for autonomous retail checkout, wanted to make a significant impact at the NACS 2022 trade show. Their challenge was to connect with convenience store owners and operators by featuring their advanced technology in an expanded booth that included a mock store environment, a vintage gas station theme, and a VIP lounge area. They partnered with exhibit vendor Derse to design and build this new space.

Derse implemented a solution by designing a double-deck, retro-inspired exhibit that resembled a vintage gas station. This included a mock convenience store to demo the checkout-free technology and an upper-level VIP lounge. The purposeful creative approach successfully helped Standard AI make an industry-wide statement by demonstrating their system's effectiveness and convenience to attendees.
