DERMALOG worked with the Cambodian National ID Cards and ePassport provider to improve national identity registration, reduce duplication, and speed up secure document issuance. The customer needed a reliable way to capture and verify biometric data for ID cards, ePassport applications, and border control while preventing forgery and supporting large-scale enrollment across Cambodia.

DERMALOG implemented a National Biometric Registration System using AFIS/ABIS, 1:N matching, centralized de-duplication and data collection, biometric ID card registration, a mobile enrollment case, and a border control solution with fingerprint, face, ticket, and passport scanning. The solution simplified administration, enabled faster ePassport issuance, supported VIP prioritization, and kept border control servers located in Cambodia; the case study also says ePassport issuance became possible within a very short period of time, though it does not give specific numeric metrics.
