AFEX, a financial services firm, needed a better way to understand client credit risk and exposure across its business. To create a “single version of the truth” and gain deeper insight into client trends, AFEX adopted Derivitec’s Risk Portal and risk calculation capabilities to consolidate reporting across product centres.

Derivitec integrated its risk engine with AFEX’s data warehouse and Microsoft Power BI, supplying end-of-day collateral, risk, and scenario data down to position level. This enabled automated reporting, portfolio- and client-level analysis, and faster, more consistent risk insights across the firm, while removing key-person dependency and making it easier for AFEX to scale reporting and analysis.
