Simplifying its Data Infrastructure with a Logical Data Warehouse (LDW)

Nedbank, one of South Africa’s largest banks, needed a better way to manage and access the massive volumes of data flowing through its legacy data warehouse, which loaded six terabytes daily into its operational data store and data marts. To support its customer base and data-driven innovation goals, Nedbank turned to Denodo Technologies and the Denodo Platform to create a single interface for data access.

Denodo Technologies helped Nedbank virtualize its legacy data warehouse, target-state data lake, and multiple data marts and business data stores into a large logical data warehouse. This delivered significant efficiency gains in combining data sources and enabled new data-driven initiatives, making Nedbank’s Denodo implementation one of the largest logical data warehouse deployments in the world.
