SilverChain - Customer Case Study

SilverChain is a 110-year-old Australian not‑for‑profit healthcare provider that serves over 100,000 people, employs 4,100 clinical staff, and supports more than 90,000 clients. Its data environment was dominated by on‑premises legacy systems with no cloud or API layer, slow legacy data‑warehouse loads, and limited interoperability—constraints that prevented rapid delivery of data to the business and blocked modernization efforts around client‑centric services.

SilverChain implemented the Denodo Platform to create an interoperability layer that centralized and accelerated data delivery. Initially used for a HoloLens remote‑medicine project, the platform was expanded to integrate systems such as Datix, DocuSign and the new client portal, enable in‑field access to medication info, feed the data warehouse more efficiently, and eliminate legacy backup/restore processes—resulting in a more scalable, manageable architecture and faster BI and analytics delivery.
