A Denodo Technologies Case Study
Sicredi, Brazil’s largest credit union system with 108 cooperatives, over 5 million members and $31 billion in assets, faced fragmented data across a data warehouse, AWS data lake, sandboxes and numerous files and services. Analysts spent significant time on ETL and creating local repositories, slowing time-to-insight and making it hard to scale, enable self-service analytics, and enforce consistent data governance and LGPD compliance.
Sicredi implemented the Denodo Platform on‑premises as a logical data fabric that virtualizes and unifies data from disparate sources, exposes APIs, and adds a business-facing data catalog, lineage and quality controls. The result was a single, governed data layer that cut data delivery times by an estimated 50–70%, enabled data democratization and self-service reporting (Power BI, Excel, notebooks), simplified integrations, and strengthened access controls for regulatory compliance.
