NN Investment Partners (NNIP), a Hague-based asset manager, needed to report large volumes of data to clients and internal teams but found its legacy data warehouse unable to keep pace with fast-changing regulatory and legal requirements. Reporting required pulling data from numerous on-premises and cloud sources (including Oracle and SQL Server) and supporting multiple BI tools, which led to heavy data replication and significant time spent on data preparation instead of modeling.

NNIP implemented the Denodo Platform as a single semantic layer to connect disparate sources and deliver consistent views to Power BI, QlikView and SSRS, enabling rapid prototyping with business users and preserving source-level granularity. The solution reduced data replication, sped up business reporting, improved regulatory compliance, and allowed the data science team to focus on building models rather than preparing data.
