Logitech, a global leader in PC and tablet peripherals, faced growing analytics demands as its product portfolio and recent acquisitions introduced complex use cases—predictive and real-time analytics, sentiment and text mining, and demand forecasting. Its legacy, on‑premises data services were reactive and slow, with data trapped across ERP, POS, DRM and MDM systems, and Logitech needed a tool‑agnostic platform to free siloed data, support a move from Amazon Redshift to Snowflake, and deliver timely business insights without compromising performance.
Logitech deployed the Denodo Platform as a secure, governed semantic/business layer above Snowflake (with data staged via Amazon S3), integrating sources such as Salesforce, Zendesk, Google Analytics and IoT. The Denodo implementation enabled a live cloud migration with minimal disruption, cut the weekly demand‑forecast job from three days to a few hours, improved query performance by 40–70% while reducing costs by about 30%, centralized consumer opt‑in/opt‑out (MDM) for GDPR compliance, and powered NLP-driven, user‑friendly data services for nontechnical users.
