A Denodo Technologies Case Study
KDDI, a major Japanese telecommunications operator, faced a challenge when critical data needed to respond to service incidents and improve customer service was scattered across multiple internal systems — a weakness made clear during the 2016 sinkhole incident near Hakata Station. The company needed to centralize disparate data sources and provide faster, more reliable access to information for both internal teams and customers.
KDDI implemented the Denodo Platform’s data virtualization to create a logical data fabric that delivers real-time access to unified data. The solution enabled a customer-facing portal, reduced development and verification workloads, lowered implementation and maintenance costs, and improved service continuity and user satisfaction.
