Case Study: SpareBank 1 achieves faster, secure data integration and self-service analytics with Denodo Technologies

Expediting Data Delivery while Enabling New Use Cases

SpareBank 1 Forsikring, part of the SpareBank 1 Alliance, needed a new data platform to handle rising financial regulations and more demanding reporting obligations, especially around suspicious activity detection and compliance. The company also wanted to integrate many heterogeneous data sources, speed up data delivery, and support self-service analytics. It chose Denodo Technologies and the Denodo Platform to build its Information Platform of Pension (IPP).

Denodo Technologies implemented data virtualization in the IPP to connect internal and external source systems and deliver data to reporting and analytics tools such as Tableau and Power BI. The solution improved data access through the Denodo catalog, supported secure and well-governed self-service use, and worked alongside the existing SQL Server data warehouse. The result was a more flexible data infrastructure that shortened data integration delivery times and better supported modern analytics and compliance needs.
