Enverus Pumps Data-driven Applications Faster Using Denodo’s Data Virtualization Platform

Enverus, a leading SaaS and data analytics provider for the oil & gas industry, needed to rapidly deliver data-driven products that help customers decide where and how to drill, invest, and manage operations. Growth exposed a bottleneck: integrating regulatory, production, GIS, OCR and other data sources for application developers and customers was slow and error-prone, with conventional ETL taking one to two weeks to expose data services and frequently delaying product timelines.

Enverus implemented Denodo’s data virtualization platform as a logical data layer above DI Classic, DI Desktop and their data warehouse to publish REST/JDBC data services and cached virtual views. The team delivered 24 data services across 11 core entities, cut web-service provisioning from 1–2 weeks to under a day, reduced virtualization staffing to one full-time developer plus a part-time admin, and now supports ~20–30 internal developers and seven external customers—enabling faster product launches like Production Workspace and the new Royalty-info application.
