Enhancing Information Assets for Stakeholder Services Using a Data Marketplace

Insiel S.p.A., the in-house ICT company for Italy’s Friuli Venezia Giulia region, needed a better way to integrate and share its large and diverse stores of public administration, health, and regional data. Using the Denodo Platform from Denodo Technologies, Insiel sought to make this information more useful for citizens, businesses, and public agencies without requiring users to deal with the complexity of multiple data sources and security protocols.

Denodo Technologies implemented the Denodo Platform as a managed cloud service, enabling Insiel to integrate heterogeneous structured and unstructured data through a single platform and deliver it to BI applications and data consumers without replication. The Data Catalog helped create a unified semantic model and simplified access for nontechnical users, reducing the time and cost of handling new data integration requests.
