Air Europa, a Spanish carrier in the Globalia group and SkyTeam member, was struggling to consolidate data from multiple source systems into its Teradata warehouse and migrate to Azure. Daily batch ETL processes were slow, lacked real-time updates, a unifying semantic layer, and data lineage, making governance, BI and data science use cases difficult and time consuming.

Air Europa implemented the Denodo Platform for data virtualization to aggregate source systems (including the warehouse) and provide a single, vendor-agnostic access point. Using Denodo’s data catalog and real-time virtualization, the airline democratized data access, avoided costly duplication and complex ETL, reduced integration effort, and significantly improved business agility.
