Cars.com wanted to boost consumer engagement by sending retargeting emails to people who had shown interest in a specific vehicle. The goal was to recreate a user’s original vehicle search and display additional similar vehicles in the email, all without using an API or other easy data-delivery tool. Den Aviary was brought in to design the process.
Den Aviary developed the intelligence and business rules to rebuild the search, then created cloud-based workflows to pull client data, process it, return results to the email platform, and send the correct email version. The program delivered emails that engaged consumers 500% better than the previous email and cut data-processing time in half.
