Wondersun Dairy, a leading Chinese dairy producer, needed a new distribution and quality control center for its Harbin plant to support rapid expansion and handle high volumes of fresh milk, powdered milk, and infant formula. The company turned to Dematic, using the vendor’s China team and its integrated storage, handling, and traceability expertise to address the challenge of improving product security, quality control, and distribution efficiency.

Dematic designed and delivered a temperature-controlled automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) with 7,800 storage locations, plus palletizing robots, transfer cars, and warehouse management software. The solution integrated production, storage, and distribution, improved traceability across batches and shipments, and eliminated losses from manual handling. According to Wondersun Dairy, the system made operations safer, more reliable, and more effective, while boosting operator productivity by 600% and giving customers full visibility into product origin and quality data.
