Dematic provided a high-density automated system featuring two storage retrieval machines, pickup and delivery stations, and its Equipment Management Software. The solution achieved a 75% reduction in required square footage compared to conventional shelving, saving an estimated 20,400 square feet and approximately $2 million in construction costs. The system also allows for rapid access to the collection, operates in a controlled environment to ensure longevity, and provides an automated self-auditing process.
