Polaris Shifts into Overdrive with New Distribution Center

Polaris faced the challenge of optimizing its parts distribution to meet high dealer expectations for speed and accuracy. To support company growth and improve service times for its eastern US dealers, Polaris needed a new, strategically located distribution center. They partnered with Dematic to implement a solution for their pick, pack, and ship processes.

Dematic implemented a modular distribution system featuring a Zone Route pick method where order containers are conveyed to workers in compact, high-density zones, eliminating the need for staff to roam the warehouse. The solution, managed by the Dematic Warehouse Control System (WCS), automated the conveyor and sortation network. This resulted in significant gains in labor productivity, order accuracy, and processing speed, with the flexible system capable of handling up to 25,000 order lines and easily scaling to accommodate future growth.
