JTM Food Group, a prominent meat processor, faced significant challenges in their cold storage operations, including high product damage, fulfillment errors, and excessive energy costs from a manual warehouse system. To overcome these issues, they partnered with Dematic to implement an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS).

Dematic designed and built a customized ASRS with a unique double-load pallet handler and deep lane storage capabilities, integrated with their control software. The solution dramatically improved operational efficiency, boosting order fulfillment accuracy to over 99% and cutting energy usage by 66%. Additional results included a 75% reduction in warehouse labor and the complete elimination of product and infrastructure damage, providing JTM with a strong return on investment.
