MillerCoors sought to improve warehouse operations at its Trenton, Ohio brewery to better serve distributors, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Their objectives included improving inventory availability, increasing truck loading volume, and boosting inventory accuracy. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Dematic for an automation solution.

Dematic designed and integrated a comprehensive automated system featuring laser-guided vehicles (AGVs), an automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS), and pallet conveyors. The AGVs transport pallets to storage or directly to docks, while the high-density ASRS manages a large volume of SKUs. This solution improved loading processes, provided real-time inventory control, and enabled the facility to operate with minimal manual handling, successfully achieving MillerCoors' goals for increased efficiency and reduced operational costs.
