ES3LLC, a third-party logistics provider, needed a highly automated facility to offer cost-efficient storage and distribution services for food manufacturers. To meet this challenge, they partnered with Dematic, who custom-designed and built a complete automated storage and retrieval system (ASRS) and pallet conveyor solution to handle their high-volume operational requirements.

Dematic implemented a massive 38-aisle, rack-supported ASRS featuring 352,740 storage locations and 38 storage and retrieval machines (SRMs). The integrated solution, managed by Dematic's Equipment Management Software, included a multi-level conveyor network with 10 receiving and 10 shipping stations. The system successfully doubled its original throughput to handle over 700 pallets in and out per hour, enabling the facility to process a staggering 5.3 million cases in weekly shipments for its manufacturing clients.
