Osem Investments Ltd., a major Israeli food producer and Nestlé subsidiary, sought to consolidate its five warehouses and optimize its market position. The challenge was to automate its logistics to simplify warehousing, improve order quality, and support future growth. They partnered with Dematic as a general contractor to implement a new automated distribution center.
Dematic designed and built a comprehensive solution featuring a high-bay pallet warehouse, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and a live storage system, all controlled by a SAP LES Warehouse Management System. This resulted in streamlined distribution procedures and increased synergies. The success led to a long-term service contract where Dematic ensures system availability close to 100% through inclusive maintenance, emergency support, and exclusive services.
