Fairrington, an innovator in logistics and distribution, sought to advance its co-palletization process to help mailers secure deeper postal discounts. Their challenge was to implement a system that could efficiently convey and sort mail trays and bundles for building these consolidated pallet shipments. To address this, they partnered with warehouse logistics vendor Dematic.

Dematic designed and implemented a complete convey and sort system featuring scan tunnels, automatic label applicators, and multiple sorters. This solution enabled the fast and accurate building of co-palletized loads, processing up to 18,000 bundles per shift. The system's robust performance supports an overall on-time delivery rate of over 96%, allowing Fairrington's customers to achieve increased postal discounts and improved home delivery times.
