ASK Power Improves On-Time Delivery to 99% with DemandCaster

ASK Power, an Aurora, IL manufacturer of electrical power connectors, was struggling after rapid growth: its ERP/MRP couldn’t provide detailed capacity planning, S&OP, or realistic shop-floor visibility, and monthly spreadsheet forecasting was slow and inaccurate. To address long overseas lead times and slipping on-time delivery, ASK Power adopted DemandCaster’s capacity planning and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) modules.

DemandCaster delivered visual finite capacity planning with daily ERP updates and integrated S&OP forecasting, enabling realistic work-center loading, inventory targets, and regenerated plans. As a result, ASK Power achieved 99% on-time delivery (11 of 12 months in 2016), cut lead times from five–six weeks to two–three weeks, increased inventory turns from 2–3 to as many as 6, reduced setup waste, and grew profit margins from 2% to over 10%—all attributed to DemandCaster.
